Yash's Toxic Postponed Again, New Worldwide Release Date Announced
The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups have announced yet another release date for the film after a flight of delays. Yash is slated to play the lead role in the movie and it is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 26th August 2026.
Toxic is one of the most awaited Indian movies of all-time, following its announcement in 2023. Spearheaded by director Geetu Mohandas, which went on floors last October, the film has been generating pan-Indian curiosity among fans since then.
The film was originally scheduled to release in April 2025. However, production and shooting delays necessitated another change of plans and the release date was shifted to March 2026. Even a revised schedule was eventually announced, but the investors could not make it up to that date and hence the film has been again delayed.
According to the director's office, the delay is due to international collaboration and release deals. The film is now complete and ready to release on a much grander scale with a long list of partnerships and beyond Indian borders. The stakeholder believe that 26th August would be appropriate for the film's worldwide release.
The delays were also addressed by Yash in an earlier statement. He said fans would naturally expect the film to release soon after the start of production and they did their best to deliver the same. The net results would justify the wait for the audiences.
The film has a who's who of stars on its cast list and will see the likes of Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and many more through important roles, raising up more expectations for the film.
Toxic is also shot in English and Kannada and will be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam speaking markets. Thus, audiences across India and from the international markets would be able to see the film.
