Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin Postponed to Summer 2026, Makers Announce New Release Plan
It was confirmed that after facing numerous setbacks, Akhil Akkineni’s highly-anticipated film *Lenin* has now been postponed to Summer 2026. Directed by Murali Krishna Abburu, the movie faced several production delays due to scheduling issues, which resulted in actress Sreeleela quitting and an industry-wide strike.
The current status of the movie suggests that it is progressing steadily in production, with plans to finish the movie by late 2025 or early 2026. As there is heavy competition expected in the month of December, the makers of the movie decided to push its release to Summer 2026. They hope that the extra time will help them complete their post-production tasks successfully
This urban drama is based in Rayalaseema and features a lot of action. It is produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi in association with the banners of [Annapurna Studios] After Sreeleela left the project, it was joined by Bhagyashree Borse, who took over as the heroine of the film. Its music has been scored by S. Thaman.
